SPRING

Hi Grandpa,

I wrote a poem this morning. I was inspired by the beautiful weather. I hope you like it!

SPRING
By Pixie
(At age 11)

Spring has sprung, it's all around,
From the highest point to the lowest ground.
Old clay pots that have not been wrecked,
With flowers they shall soon be decked.
Sparrows and Robins in the air,
Jays and Doves are doing their share.
Trees' great branches reach the sky,
Lush green color for the eye.
Earth Day is a curious thing.
Some people ask, "Why's it in Spring?"
Look around and it's quite clear,
Earth Day fits this time of year.
As winter's blahs melt with the snow,
Spring is coming, that we know.

Love you,
Pixie
